The Brewer Game...
On Sunday we packed up the girls and drove down to Milwaukee to see the Brewers. We had a great time. it was Ellie's 1st game. We got there about 1 1/2 hours before the game so we could walk around and check out the cool kids area. The girls got their faces painted. Taylor tried to out run Cory Hart to first base, pitched a few balls and ran with the sausages. Ellie went down Bernie Brewer's slide a few times and watched Taylor do all the other things. Both girls also took their picture with Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun. This was all the Fun things in the Kids area. I totally recommend it to anyone that goes to the game with kids. The best part is it was all free in the kids area. Taylor was a little bummed because the make your own baseball card wasn't working. The girls also took some pictures with the different sausages. We all ate some lunch and went and watched an awesome game. Not to mention the weather was perfect for baseball. It was wonderful until we had to sit in the parking lot for about 30 minutes, but when we got on the road it didn't take long until the girls fell asleep. We finished our day with dinner at the Ground Round. When we got home we all were pooped out. It was an early night at the Van Hammond's.
Tonight Taylor had soccer practice. It is one of the last ones. So they had a game with the parents against the kids. I had to work so Tom went. Taylor told me that the kids won by 1 goal. I will have to get Tom's side to see how he feels after playing soccer. the girls are going up to my parents trailer this weekend so hopefully i will get some new pictures and maybe some good stories. Toodles N :)

We made it...
So yes we made it through the weekend and the week. it was a very long weekend to say. Thursday golf was more fun than I thought it would be. I totally forget on how fun all the people are that golf in this group. the teams are picked randomly and of course Tom and i were picked first so that means we tee off first. i was so nervous i am sweating. So i go to hit my ball and miss so I told everyone to turn around and than i hit it. finally by the last hole and a few beers I think this isn't so bad. It was a best ball scramble. So we all tee off and it was my ball we used then we hit again and my ball lands on the green. Woo Hoo so i went up and putt it in for the birdie. i jump up and down (almost peed I was so happy). We went and got something to eat and went over to Sean and Krissy Ely's for a fire. You know I always thought at my house by a fire you lose track of time but it happened there too. So at about 3:30 we made it home....
On Friday morning I receive a call from Amy @ 8 a.m. (mind you I just went to bed about 4hrs. earlier) she said that Taylor has something wrong with her eye. So i rush over there only to find there are people over there tearing down her garage and i look like dog. We put some drops into her eye which seem to work wonders. Next Amy tells me the kids want to go see Zac (Amy's nephew) do his karate at the park. So we all hope in the mini van and head on over to see Zac. At this point I am starting to sweat and want to go home. So we drag the kids away and I go home to make potato salad for the party at the Schafer's. Schafer's was fun like always. We finally got home around 1 a.m. Did I tell you I am really tired at this point?
Saturday morning we got up and got ready to go to Waupaca and the sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa's house. We went to my aunt and uncle's cottage on the Crystal river for the afternoon. It was really a nice time. We got to see Jessica Ryan Alaina and baby CJ. They recently had moved to West Virginia. we met up with Grandpa in Waupaca and dropped the girls off. So Tom and i got ready for the wig party. Tom wore Ellie's Hannah Montana wig and I wore my purple and black witch wig. No I don't have any pictures because I forgot my camera. Sorry... We were at the wig party all night. we played Bingo for money and I won!! It was so much fun. I think we got home at 3a.m. Fun Fun!!
So Sunday we got up at 9 and got the girls. came home and ended up watching Max so Amy Joe and Maci could go to the Timber Rattlers game. Did not do anything but stuff around the house.
So needless to say I hung my liver out to dry.
Nothing happened this week Soccer got canceled again.. But I will blog later about this weekend and Our Brewer trip...Later N :)

Weekend Warriors
Hi- Hope everyone is doing well. This weekend of the fourth will be a busy one for the Van Hammonds. (I hope we will make it through with out too many melt downs alond the way!) Where to begin...today is Thursday: Going to the pool this afternoon, drop kids off at Amy and Joe's @ 4 girls are slepping over and going to the light parade. Mom and Dad are going golfing with I think 5 or 6 different couples at Winnegamie. This should be fun I haven't golfed in like a year besides that I am not very good. I will enjoy the company and maybe a few cocktails. Friday: We go to the Schafer's house for a party and than down to Riverside for the fireworks. The party starts @ 2 and I have to make potato salad yet. Saturday: The girls and i are going up to Waupaca to the Graverson's to see Jessa and the kids. (and Carly too!) be there @ noon. The girls are sleeping at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Mom and Dad have a Wig themed party to go to. (everyone must wear a wig or you will be in trouble) Tom is going to be borrowing one of Ellie's. This should be funny. I will try to get some pictures to show you all. Finally Sunday I think we won't do to much I told the girls maybe we will go to the pool. I think we should just rest but what fun is that? I will post back and let you know of our crazy weekend. Until then Happy Fourth and I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday!! N :)

Summertime
Hi It's been a while since i blogged. Let's see whats been going on.... We had our first bonfire of the summer on June 14. Fun times were had by all. It lasted until 4 a.m. and I had 10 kids (2 are mine) and Amy and Joe who all spent the night. The McNeely's showed back up at 9 a.m. with breakfast food! Yummy! We all hung out until about noon and everyone left. So the Van Hammonds had family nap time. The week following started with Ellie getting sick with Hand foot mouth disease. By Wednesday Taylor had some sort of stomach bug. She finally started feeling better by Sunday. She was bummed that she missed soccer. During all this mom and dad have been working non stop. So on Saturday when I had to work 2-10 I got sick and had to come home. (sick of being at work) I came home and Amy and Joe had us over for another fire. The girls slept over and tom and I got to sleep in. On Sunday I got the girls and came home and this little thing called Karma got the best of me. Yes I got that stomach bug that Taylor had earlier in the week. (I guess i shouldn't fake being sick!) So we didn't go to the Pool on Sunday like I said we would. Monday after work we went to the pool and had to leave early because someone pooped in the pool. The kids thought that was totally gross and funny. This weekend I think we are going to lay low and save our energy for the up coming weekend of the fourth. So if you need us we will be around this weekend. (I will more than likely be at my home away from home WORK!!!) Hope you all have a wonderful lazy weekend. N:)

Random Babble
Wow- I really think we need some more rain...J/K. So summer vacation has started and already I hear how bored Taylor is. So tonight she is sleeping over at her friend Maggie Reagan's. Would someone tell me where the time has gone? I can hardly believe that she is almost 9 years old. Sleeping over at friends houses. It is just to much sometimes. Ellie is 4. She is such a free loving spirit I think everyone should get an Ellie. I tell you it feels like I just had these girls yesterday. Today I went to my sisters house and saw Violet,( did i mention that i was there when she was born and cut the cord.) She is getting so big almost 4 months. She is rolling all around and smiling like nobodies business. Emlyn she was sleeping so I didn't get to see her but she is getting so big also. My godson Ben he is 2 and he finally isn't scared of me. Which makes me feel a little bit better about myself. Steph, Josh and Ben have just bought a new house which is very exciting for them and my kids. (they think that they will be sleeping over all the time.) I sometimes forget how lucky I am until I think of all the kids in my life and i know that i am. Another time I will let you know about all my friends kids and how great they all are. try to stay dry...:) N

My First Blog
So I thought to myself I think I am going to do a blog. Well here I am doing one. Not quite sure what to do or why to do one. I figure I really don't make enough time to talk to all the people I want to and share all the exciting things that go on here at the Van Hammond's. So I hope that I will be able to give updates to you. So wish me luck!! I hope you will all come back and check up on us once and a while... XOXO N :)
